Terms of service
Last updated 24 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Handover Home to tell your providers you’re moving house. Please read them: by creating an account, connecting an inbox or paying, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
1. About us
Handover Home is a trading name of DLMS Consulting Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 17364007), registered office 4 The Quillets, Netherhampton Road, Salisbury, SP2 8HE. Contact us at hello@handovermyhome.co.uk.
2. Who can use Handover Home
- You must be 18 or over and live in the UK.
- Only send notices about accounts in your own name, or accounts you’re allowed to manage (for example a joint account, with the other account holder’s agreement).
- Only connect inboxes that are yours.
3. What we do
- We scan the inboxes you connect for bills, statements and account emails and build a list of your providers.
- You check that list. When you’re ready and have paid, we send each provider a change of address notice from your own inbox, in your name.
- For providers that only accept changes by web form, app or phone, we give you the notice to send yourself.
- We read replies to your notices, show you each provider’s progress, alert you when one needs something from you, and give you a completion report.
- We also give you a checklist of official places to update, such as your council and the DVLA. You do those yourself.
By paying to send, you ask us to send the notices shown on your page from the inbox you choose, in your name, and to read replies to them.
4. What we can’t do
- We can’t make a provider act on your notice or reply, or reply by a particular date, and we aren’t responsible for what they do.
- We find providers from your emails, so we may miss any that don’t email you. Check the list and add any we’ve missed.
- A notice doesn’t end a contract or change its terms. Notice periods, exit fees and final bills are between you and each provider.
5. Prices and payment
- Scanning your inbox and seeing your list of providers is free.
- Sending and tracking your notices costs £9.99 per move, paid once by card before the notices are sent. No subscription.
- The optional 90-day inbox watch costs £15 extra if you add it when you pay to send (£24.99 in total), or £19.99 if you add it later, paid once. It runs for 90 days from when every provider has confirmed, or from when you buy it if that’s later.
- The price you see is the total you pay. Payments are taken by Stripe.
6. Your right to cancel
- You normally have 14 days after paying to change your mind.
- Before you pay, we ask you to confirm you want us to start straight away. If you cancel before your notices are sent, we’ll refund you in full. Once your notices have been sent, the service has been provided and you can no longer cancel it.
- If you cancel the inbox watch within 14 days of buying it, we’ll refund what you paid for it, less an amount for the days it has already run.
- To cancel, email hello@handovermyhome.co.uk with your name and the email address you signed in with.
7. If something goes wrong
- If none of your notices can be sent because of a fault on our side, we’ll refund what you paid in full.
- If the inbox watch can’t run because of a fault on our side, we’ll refund it in full.
- We provide Handover Home with reasonable care and skill. If we don’t, tell us and we’ll put it right, or give you a full or partial refund. These are your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8. Your inbox
You can disconnect an inbox at any time, but we can’t track replies or send notices without it. We disconnect inboxes automatically 7 days after your move is complete, or at the end of an inbox watch.
9. Fair use
Don’t use Handover Home to send notices about someone else’s accounts without their agreement, to send anything untrue or misleading, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend or close an account that does.
10. Our responsibility to you
- We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill.
- We aren’t responsible for what a provider does or doesn’t do after receiving your notice.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
11. Complaints
If you’re unhappy, email hello@handovermyhome.co.uk and we’ll reply within 14 days.
12. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version on this page when you pay applies to that move. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
